This furrific trail is located inside Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area between Bridge Mountain and Rainbow Mountain. It’s named for the many pinyon and ponderosa pine trees in the area. We loved biking on this well maintained rail trail. Gorgeous biking along Pine Creek. We did Ansonia to Slate Run one day and from Ansonia to Wellsboro and back the second day. Pine Creek is gorgeous. We stopped at Turkey Creek and hiked half way up to Leonard Harrison lookout. Pine Creek is the scene of numerous rescues every year. Please limit your group size to 6 or less, both for the sake of your own enjoyment, and for that of other parties in the canyon. May 17, 2011 · What USofCS said earlier this week. Park was very busy, had to wait a while at the Pine Creek parking lot to get a space. Chose to go with wetsuits and was glad for it. Cathedral water is avoidable by rappelling through a window on the left. Everything else is dry. A delightful run! Now have a chance to do pine creek without a wetsuit.
